


Originally from Michigan, Dr. Burnstein brings 11 years of medical and sub-specialty training, along
with 12 years in practice at various ophthalmology clinics domestically and internationally. Dr.
Burnstein completed his Medical Degree with the highest honors from McGill University, Montreal, Quebec.
His specialization in Ophthalmology began at Stanford University and was completed with honors, at Kresge Eye
Institute in Michigan. He went on to complete his fellowships at the University of Toronto, Indiana
University and Casey Eye Institute. An accomplished author, Dr. Burnstein has published in peer-reviewed
journals on glaucoma treatment and corneal complications. He is fellow of the American Academy of
Ophthalmology and Washington Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons.
Along with Dr. Burnstein's impressive credentials, he brings a unique international perspective to medicine. His passion for service has taken him to Israel, Bangladesh and India as a volunteer ophthalmologist. Dr. Burnstein also understands the importance of patient education and has been a noted professor at the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at Texas Tech University.
